18日晚間大批學生占領立法院議場，一名保六總隊中隊長鍾振強在推擠過程中突然昏迷，經送往台大醫院急救後，目前人已甦醒，警政署長王卓鈞也到院關心，他表示，維護秩序過程中受傷員警38人。

立法院保六總隊中隊長鍾振強是在與學生推擠過程中昏倒，被緊急送到台大醫院急救，在急診室氣切治療，穩定生命跡象，19日人已經甦醒，狀況回穩，說話清楚，但四肢無力。根據駐衛警同仁轉述，鍾振強平時身體健康，也有運動習慣，不解為何執勤到一半會突發身體不適。

根據《中央社》報導，警政署長王卓鈞也到院探視受傷警員，王卓鈞表示，昨天本來是一個合法申請的集會，但是集會到晚上9時左右，台上就有人鼓動群眾進入立法院，而立法院四周圍牆並不高，從四周圍牆爬進去民眾人數很快就有400多人。

王卓鈞說，受傷員警有38人，除了目前還在台大醫院住院的保六總隊中隊長鍾振強外，其他37名員警在治療後已回家休息。
