以借錢聞名全國的竹山鎮紫南宮土地公廟，在除夕夜及大年初一早上發放馬幣錢母，排隊的人群總超過5、6公里，為預防宵小犯罪，竹山分局社寮派出所在紫南宮前設置機動派出所，所有社寮派出所警勤區同仁及民防人員隨時待命。

由竹山警察分局竹山派出所女警為主角，當模特兒拍成「人型看板」於春節期間，在廟前進駐，遊客只要來到竹山鎮名聞暇耳的紫南宮土地公廟，一定發現機動派出所旁站著一位可愛「女警看板」，藉此呼籲民眾防竊，讓交通更順暢。

竹山警分局分局長蔡詳忠表示，春節期間，人潮壅擠，廟宇前人擠人容易出現扒手作案，提醒香客在現場參拜時、自身包包請前揹（勿側邊及後揹），側背皮包容易被拉扯，讓宵小有機可趁，小孩更應手牽緊，隨時看顧注意，以防走失。
