新北市政府10日邀請統計學家柴松林教授演講，分享「危機社會．風險人生」，柴教授勉勵公務員應效法美國公僕，秉持「法令沒有禁止的都可做」的原則，多為人民謀取福祉。市長朱立倫到場聆聽，並推崇柴教授在統計學的卓越成就，稱讚柴教授是消費者保護領域的先導者。

朱立倫表示，消費者權益保護不只是政府的事，也是全民的事，因為每個人都是消費者，消費意識的提升，還需要社會不斷進步及大家一起努力。柴松林教授在演講中，從宏觀、微觀，以及國家、個人等角度，分析寰宇、社會、經濟、政治、自然、生態、性別、人際關係等轉變。並以「法令沒有禁止的，都可以做。」勉勵公務員要勇於任事，多為人民謀取福祉。
