義大犀牛新任董事長吳承璋10日表示「今年義联集團的口號就是『投資高雄、投資棒球』」，因此今年球季犀牛仍會維持去年的作法，至少有34場主場會安排在澄清湖棒球場。

吳承璋過去曾擔任高雄縣的縣議員，接任犀牛球團董事長之後，他的首要之務就是希望把職棒的整體氣氛在大高雄炒起來，往下紮根是他的構想之一，吳承璋表示「會用較便宜的票價，給高中以下的學生，希望大家不要再當『低頭族』，可以到球場看職棒比賽」。

而犀牛去年60場主場的平均觀眾人數是6864人，居四隊之冠，票房收入也超過7000萬元，犀牛明顯感受到北部的票房確實較佳，不過義大犀牛畢竟是高雄的在地球隊，因此領隊謝秉育說「還是會以經營大高雄為主」，目前初步規畫，今年主場場次會跟去年一樣，至少34場擺在澄清湖球場。

體育署今年將不再補助中華職棒二軍的經費，對此，吳承璋沒有多作說明，他僅希望政府相關單要多關注職棒的發展。
