嘉市綠美化嘉年華　展現各社區特色

【徐彩媚／嘉義報導】嘉義市政府環保局推動社區綠美化獲熱烈回響，今天在檜意森活村一心二葉館舉辦「曬嘉義•瘋桃城-綠動社區嘉年華會」，除有社區綠美化營造成果海報展示，同時邀請50個社區發展協會及里辦公室，以動態或靜態方式展現社區特色。
 
市環保局表示，社區自主綠美化環境營造，是由社區里民關懷社區環境、發現自己特色，再由政府輔導並提供經費補助，讓社區居民共同營造屬於自己的社區環境。這項活動是為了展現社區自主綠美化環境的成果，也促進社區間彼此的交流，為綠美化環境營造注入新的思維與創意，最終目的是營造嘉市成為一座花園城市。
