發員工票被罵　台鐵：賣的是空位

【陳如嬌／台北報導】台鐵被爆明年預算編列虧損60億元，還編1438萬補貼員工票，被批不符公平原則，社會觀感不佳， 台鐵今發布新聞稿解釋，列車平常日車票並未全部賣完，為免座位浪費，將售餘空位以促銷方式，讓員工及眷屬於出遊、返鄉時，願意先選擇搭乘鐵路運輸，除能增加台鐵營業收入，也能凝聚員工向心力，近3年平均每年增加營收260萬元。

台鐵表示，提供員工優惠購票乘車有車種及次數限制，即員工本人搭乘莒光號以下車種，按全票25折收費，員工眷屬則按全票5折收費；若搭乘自強號，須支付莒光號與自強號列車差額。不過在連續及周休假日等尖峰時段，會限制員工及眷屬只能搭乘莒光號以下列車，近3年平均每名員工每年優惠238元。
