群眾上街抗議 南非警方驅逐

南非約翰尼斯堡(Johannesburg)今天(11日)發生警民衝突，群眾不滿政府住宅補助方案而上街抗議，警方則發射橡膠子彈和催淚瓦斯制止。

警方發言人馬庫貝拉(Kay Makhubela)說，超過1,000位民眾在約堡西南方蘇威托(Soweto)鎮的臨時住宅區集結抗議。

他說：「抗議民眾聲稱要把輪胎搬到街上，並向警察丟擲石頭，我們才決定發射橡膠子彈。」他提到，當時也有使用催淚瓦斯。

抗議活動於半夜展開，多處路段因而封閉。

上個月南非也發生數起類似抗議事件，主要都是針對政府補助的住宅供應不足。

5月中，南非面積最小卻最富裕的省份豪登(Gauteng)，5個星期發生650起抗議事件，其中40起演變成暴力衝突。
