克羅埃西亞為歐洲東南部的共和國，歐債危機讓許多國家想退出歐盟，而克羅埃西亞，於今年7月正式加入歐盟。
還沒造訪克羅埃西亞前，我已在Splendida上認識克羅埃西亞人，聽他口中所敘述的克羅埃西亞，即使經過戰亂，仍是可愛美麗的國家，但因經濟狀況不佳，他則選擇離鄉背景，擔任起航海服務員。

它先由羅馬帝國統治，接著此地區相繼由匈奴人、東哥德人以及拜占庭帝國征服。第一次世界大戰中戰敗，克羅埃西亞成為了塞爾維亞人、克羅埃西亞人和斯洛維尼亞人王國的一部分。第二次世界大戰期間，克羅埃西亞成為軸心國的魁儡，戰後，克羅埃西亞族與塞爾維亞族因政治民族理念不同，爆發流血衝突，開始長期的內戰……。
