業者搶商機，近年來力拚轉型成觀光工廠，讓一般民眾參觀還能動手DIY，希望吸引更多人潮。光是桃園境內就有多達21家觀光工廠，不僅吸引250萬參觀人次，更帶來6億的龐大商機。
為了衝高暑假最後一波熱潮，桃園縣政府祭好康，推出觀光工廠行程遊，下殺五折起，還能獲得導覽手冊，民眾只要在9月30日前集滿3個戳章，還有機會抱走萬元禮券，主辦單位也預估人數將突破300萬大關。
不管是可口可樂博物館，還是玻璃觀光工廠，能參觀還能DIY，讓桃園觀光人數每年成長1到3成，經濟不景氣，想出遊又不想花大錢，許多民眾也選擇小額消費，到桃園來場參訪行程，這也讓2011年參訪人數650萬人之多。
桃園成為全國觀光工廠密度最高的縣市，桃園縣政府工商發展局局長陳淑容表示，許多知名企業像是白木屋、麗嬰房、金蘭醬油、可口可樂等，通通都能開放參觀，為地區狂吸6億收入，賺進大把鈔票。
而這次好康優惠下殺近5折，政府推出4條觀光工廠行程遊，包括「聆聽桃園」、「幸福桃園」、「夏戀桃園」、「原鄉桃園」等四條特色行程，不管是要了解企業或是參觀鋼琴製作，通通都能一網打盡。
