（中央社華盛頓7日綜合外電報導）美國總統歐巴馬今天宣布，提名紐約東區聯邦檢察官林奇（LorettaLynch）接替霍德（Eric Holder），出任美國新一任司法部長。

歐巴馬在動身前往亞洲前，在白宮宣布這項提名案。歐巴馬讚揚林奇必能為刑事司法改革以及其他關鍵性政府優先課題帶來保證。

歐巴馬表示，希望參議院儘快通過這項任命案，並稱兩度擔任紐約東區聯邦檢察官的林奇，展現的嚴明和公正作風令人刮目相看。

如果獲參議院通過，55歲的林奇將接替霍德，成為美國首位非裔女性司法部長。霍德是美國首位非裔司法部長，自2009年歐巴馬上任以來一直擔任此職，林奇是霍德推薦的多位繼任人選之一。(中央社)
