在你面前的這個粉色小傢伙，是墨西哥特有種，名為墨西哥鈍口螈（Axolotl）的牠，又叫「美西螈」、「六角恐龍」，屬於水棲型的兩棲類動物，因獨特外型而著名，甚至被許多人作為寵物飼養，尤其盛行於北美。看著牠藍黑色的瞳孔、粉嫩的皮膚，配上六根造型特殊的鰓，像極來自外太空的生物，如此精緻動人，讓人忍不住怦然心動，愛上這可愛的小傢伙。（王馨慧／綜合報導）

「幼態延續」是墨西哥鈍口螈的另一大特性，意謂著牠們從幼體到性成熟，並不會經歷「變態」階段，即便於性成熟後，仍然為水棲幼體形態。（照片取自pinterest）
