護照不慎污損可申請換發

媒體報導年輕男子家族旅遊時，因塗改護照上出入境日期戳章，被移民暑官員發現而無法出境，吃上偽造文書官司。外交部領務局副局長尹新垣提醒民眾，護照是政府核發的國外旅行文件及身分證明文件，切勿隨意塗鴉修改，不僅出不了國，可能還會面臨法律問題。

尹新垣表示，曾有民眾護照被小孩胡亂塗鴉，或不慎污損導致無法出境，若發生類似情況，可向外交部辦事處或駐外館處申請換發。民眾應妥善保管及使用護照，若蓄意偽造或變造，足以對公眾或他人造成損害，依護照條例可處五年以下有期徒刑，併科新台幣五十萬元以下罰金。
