即使選秀、自由球員市場熱鬧如今年，曼菲斯灰熊一如往常沒有大動作招兵買馬，也一如往常地完成一項低調的續約。

根據《雅虎運動》報導，灰熊已經和「Z寶」Zach Randolph達成協議，以2年2000萬美元完成續約，他也將執行2014-15年球季價值1650萬的球員選擇權。

Randolph原本考慮不執行選擇權，投身自由球員市場，最後還是決定續留，這次的續約將讓他在曼菲斯待到2016-17年球季。

生涯初期是位「麻煩人物」的Randolph，自從2009年來到灰熊後洗心革面，不僅控制脾氣、體態，場外麻煩也越來越少，更重要的是，他成為球隊的中流砥柱。

Randolph本季繳出平均17.4分、10.1籃板，在灰熊5個球季只有1個球季沒有平均「雙十」，近4年都幫助灰熊闖進季後賽。
