就讀智光商工2年級的陳兆宏同學，今年2月25日體育課在操場跑步時突然倒下，不僅昏迷且無呼吸脈搏。同學緊急將他抬到保健室，由主任教官張效民及劉竹英護理師施作CPR，另護理師莊喻雲則趕緊取來甫於去年9月裝設的AED（俗稱傻瓜電擊器）進行搶救，在不停CPR及依據AED語音提示下經3次電擊，總算將陳兆宏從鬼門關前搶救回來。

衛生局指出，事關人命的校園突發事件，讓校長林埔生及全校師生更加體會CPR與AED的重要，因此，提早於5月展開，陳兆宏的班級約40位同學，率先安排第一批接受CPR與AED教育訓練及實際施作，讓大家成為彼此的保護傘，也使急救技能由學生開始紮根。被眾人施以CPR+AED搶回一命的陳兆宏同學，15日代表班上同學領取急救課程證書，開心的說「我的命是大家救回來的，以後我也要幫助別人、關懷生命」。

衛生局表示，為使新北市緊急醫療網絡更趨完善，AED數量已由102年的324臺，增加至103年4月的1,169臺，達到每10萬人30臺的標準；並指截至今年4月已辦理150場次、共有14,365人次CPR+AED操作參訓，且強調想參加的民眾，可向就近的衛生所或消防隊申請。
