曾寶儀去年陪父親曾志偉旅行北歐，第一天慘被他丟在房間，只能空等，還餓了一天肚子，慶幸自己由祖父母一手帶大，她笑說：「如果是我爸爸帶大的，我可能會流離失所。」

曾寶儀在公視《誰來晚餐6》和金瓜石三代同堂的藝術家林正文家庭共進晚餐，她透露父親曾志偉立下心願，60歲後每月都要安排一趟旅行，去年她陪他赴北歐旅行，第一天就慘遭他遺忘在房間，「我等到8點都快餓死了，沒人來叫我吃飯，一踏出門，就看到我爸就跟他朋友在喝酒。」

當時曾志偉看到他，還自若道：「欸，妳出現啦！」讓她好笑又好氣，認為父親超瞎，回過頭來不忘安慰自己，慶幸和妹妹從小由爺爺奶奶一手帶大，除了豐衣足食，也學習到待人接物和應對進退。曾志偉見她和爺爺感情親密，內心羨慕又遺憾。

曾寶儀說，「爸爸小時候爺爺很忙，沒時間陪他，等爺爺有時間可以陪他時，他卻忙到沒時間，爺爺就花很多時間陪我。」3年多前爺爺過世，對她來說很難熬，她努力從書中了解死後世界，思考自己此生該學習什麼，林正文妹妹問她：「妳研究出他去哪了嗎？」曾寶儀才放下凝重神情，平靜道：「很好的地方，真的！」
