美防部長 登上大陸遼寧艦

〔編譯管淑平／綜合報導〕美國國防部長哈格爾七日訪問中國，登上中國目前唯一一艘航空母艦「遼寧號」參觀，據信哈格爾是首位獲准登上遼寧艦的外國官員。遼寧艦是中國軍事現代化成果的有力象徵，北京當局罕見地開放遼寧艦允許哈格爾參觀，被視為美中兩國或許願意加強軍事合作的跡象。

哈格爾結束日本訪問後，七日抵達中國展開三天訪問，首日就到青島登上遼寧艦。美方說，哈格爾在艦上參觀約兩小時，但未透露細節。參觀遼寧艦是由美方提出，獲北京首肯。中國安全專家認為，北京可能試圖藉此反制美國有關中國擴軍不透明的批評。

排水量六萬噸的遼寧艦是中國一九九八年向烏克蘭購入蘇聯時期舊艦重新整修而成，被視為中國強化海上軍力並擴大全球影響力的象徵，但在技術上仍落後美國數十年。新加坡專家認為，哈格爾登艦參觀僅具象徵意義。
