第8屆台美貿易暨投資架構協定（TIFA）會議在華府展開，農委會主委陳保基今天在台重申，牛豬分離立場不變，不開放含瘦肉精萊克多巴胺的豬肉進口台灣。

因應台美TIFA會議展開，繼美牛開放含符合國際標準的萊劑進口，美國一直希望台灣再開放含萊劑美豬銷台。陳保基今天接受記者電話訪問時重申，「我們還是會堅守牛豬分離政策」。

採購不含萊劑有途徑。陳保基說，「美國豬肉現在占外銷總量的18%到20%，是由美國農業部核發不含萊劑證明的豬肉，台灣可以據此採購；也已告知美方，養豬產業是台灣農業產值最高業別，影響最廣，除堅持不進口含萊劑豬肉，台灣養豬業也不使用萊劑」。

他也說，已向美方表達，「希望美國能了解，我們不是不買美豬，而是買美國不含萊劑的豬肉，這部份的立場一定會堅持；而且美國也知道，我們每年跟他們買穀物的價值，利益遠大於美國豬肉，所以應該不至於會一直把美豬綁著談」。

他強調，台美「還有其他雙邊共同利益要去進行，應該不會堅持在要台灣開放美豬議題上；我們希望，也相信美方會做出對他們最有利的選擇」。(中央社)
