泰警拘捕220名土耳其偷渡客

泰國警方今天(13日)表示，他們拘押了220多名疑似土耳其偷渡客，據信這些人都是人口販運集團的受害者。

警方表示，移民事務警察在泰國南部宋卡府(Songkhla)橡樹種植場附近1處隱僻處所，查獲這個偷渡客營區，其中包括78名男子、60名婦女以及82名兒童。

警方表示，經過查證，這些人都自稱是土耳其人，但是他們身上並沒有任何證明文件。

警方正尋求土耳其翻譯協助，然後將以非法入境的罪名將他們起訴。

警方懷疑，有偷渡集團計畫將這群人轉送第三國。

聯合國難民公署正對這些偷渡客伸出援手。

去年1月，泰國當局突襲宋卡府橡樹種植區，拘捕了大約400名洛興雅穆斯林，他們都是從緬甸逃出。
