原民會：六都原民區長 拼明年底直選

原民會主委林江義將於今天下午，到國民黨中常會專案報告「原住民族政策的實踐」。原民會表示，民國99年五都改制，轄內五個原住民鄉包括烏來、和平、那瑪夏、茂林和桃源，都因為改制而喪失公法人地位，改制後反而造成邊緣化、發展停滯不前，民意都反應要恢復公法人地位。

因此行政院會已經通過「地方制度法修正草案」，讓直轄市山地原住民區成為自治團體法人，明訂自治事項，恢復區長、區民代表選舉。假如能在明年4月前三讀，就能在明年底七合一選舉時辦理區長、區民代表選舉，屆時連同桃園市復興區，將有6個原住民區辦理選舉。
