對應即時商機 Qualcomm Gimbal挑戰iBeacon

如同近期蘋果在北美市場廣泛透過iBeacon應用，配合與使用者智慧型手持裝置連結，提供迅速、貼切的在地消費體驗，Qualcomm也宣布旗下Gimbal平台同樣可提供相同技術體驗，並且同時支援Android、iOS平台使用。

針對今年年初曾於CES 2013期間展示的Gimbal平台應用，Qualcomm也宣布此平台將可同時支援Android與iOS平台使用，配合使用者智慧型手持裝置連接，即可提供迅速、貼切個人需求的在地消費體驗，讓使用者可在接近商家時，即可接收近期促銷活動或下載折扣優惠券等。

同時，除了提供近在咫尺即可接收資訊的使用體驗，Gimbal平台技術也同樣可對應於戶外環境使用，例如寬闊的展覽地點等。

目前Qualcomm將提供兩種Gimbal平台設計，其中Series 20體積將採95mm x 102mm x 24mm的設計，而Series 10則將採用28mm x 40mm x 5.6mm的設計。至於使用者端，只要本身使用Android或iOS裝置，即可接受從Gimbal平台所即時傳遞資訊內容。
