1c3ed6185e90f406ef6f5ee1acca94fe 福特已經在使用可口可樂的 PlantBottle 技術為汽車座椅生產環保纖維。PlantBottle 利用生物基成分改進了 PET 技術，福特新車使用的 PlantBottle 纖維可以從甘蔗中提取的乙醇作為原料，甘蔗作為一種農作物就不存在用光的問題。

雖然目前石油作為全球頭號能源還沒有合適的替代品，但福特汽車公司已經開始慢慢推進生產環保性了。

來自 TheVerge 的消息稱，福特已經在使用可口可樂的 PlantBottle 技術為汽車座椅生產環保纖維。

福特已經推出了一款 Fusion Energi 原型車，其內裝材料全部用 PlantBottle 技術製成。

PlantBottle 利用生物基成分改進了 PET 技術，傳統的 PET 產品雖然也可回收，但原料終究是使用石油，而石油是很有限的資源。福特新車使用的 PlantBottle 纖維可以從甘蔗中提取的乙醇作為原料，甘蔗作為一種農作物就不存在用光的問題。

可口可樂公司表示已經售出了 180 億瓶 PlantBottle 包裝的飲料，相當於節省了 40 萬桶石油。而將在美國的絕大多數福特汽車中使用的 PlantBottle 纖維可以節省 6000 桶石油。

關注環保生產的企業不止這兩家，全球一流的食品企業亨氏（ Heinz ）已經在部分產品包裝上應用了 PlantBottle 技術， Nike 、P&G也在嘗試這種環保生產技術。
