檢察總長黃世銘得知被起訴，下午1時對外發出兩項聲明。聲明指出，黃對於被控洩密等罪名，從一開始就有絕對的信心，一切經得起考驗，從10月3日到北檢就訊後的對外發言就可瞭然。

他很遺憾台北地檢署屈服於壓力下，選擇起訴。他一輩子奉公守法，竭盡心力為國為民服務，不畏懼權勢，舉發司法關說行政不法事件，竟遭起訴，深感痛心疾首，至為無奈，希望法院儘速做出正確判決，還他清白。

黃世銘表示，如一審法院認定他確有刑責，他當無異言，立即辭卸檢察總長職務，以謝國人。
