吃多提神能量糖果　男子咖啡因過量猝死

【於慶中／綜合外電報導】英國40歲畫家傑克森(John Jackson)，今年五月時在家中猝死，經檢驗後發現他體內的咖啡因濃度竟然達到每公升155毫克，以英國國家標準，超過10毫克就以超標，這才發現他是因為大量食用一款在市面上可以輕易買到的「能量薄荷糖果」。這款在一般糖果店就能買到的能量薄荷糖，每盒只要4英鎊(約台幣188元)，經化驗後發現，每顆糖果所含的咖啡因含量，比一罐機能飲料「紅牛」(Red Bull)的含量還要高，一盒所含的咖啡因相當於12罐紅牛。

驗屍官昨天(10日)在死因庭上表示，傑克森患有肝病，無法正常攝取咖啡因，將去函健康部門請求協助調查責任，而該款薄荷糖的生產商則承諾，日後將在包裝上加上警語。
