照顧失智者　閒置教室變托老所可行性高

【沈能元／台北報導】國內失智總人口數去年底估算已逾19萬人，但全台日間照護中心嚴重不足，衛生福利部長邱文達今在立院進行「台灣失智症防治照護政策綱領」專案報告時表示，目前衛福部已與教育部多次討論，希望將中小學閒置教室變身為日間照護中心，可行性相當高。

依衛福部統計，國內現有94家社區日間照護中心，預計今年底可擴充至120家，以每中心約可容納30名失智者估算，收納人數不到4千人，與19萬失智人口不成比例。立委王育敏說，小學內有幼稚園、托兒所，如果能有托老所，失智阿公、阿嬤可陪孫子一起上學、放學，失智長者也較願意離開家裡，接受日間照護。

邱文達說，這是衛福部努力的方向，目前已與教育部多次開會討論，希望利用中小學閒置教室，硬體方面只要增加消防及簡單醫療設施，教室就能變身日間照護中心，可行性相當高。
