【賴宇萍╱綜合外電報導】據研究機構據IHS預估，美國政府局部停擺，一開始1天至少減損3億美元（88.8億元台幣）的經濟產值，儘管對美國這個15.7兆美元（465兆元台幣）的龐大經濟體來說，這筆金額微不足道，但如果美國政府持續關門，可能重創市場信心，壓抑企業與消費者支出，屆時經濟受衝擊程度可能就會擴大。

IHS預估，美國政府如果關門1周，將導致第4季經濟成長率縮減0.2個百分點，由原估的2.2%降至2%。
