【大紀元2013年09月21日訊】位於洛杉磯中國城邊的沃爾瑪鄰里超市（Walmart Neighborhood Market）星期四（9月19日）舉行了盛大開張剪綵儀式，地方領袖和社區成員紛紛前來祝賀。
　　
這家坐落在瑞華氏街（Cesar Chavez）與格蘭大道（Grand）交界處的沃爾瑪店曾經受到當地居民和工會組織的強烈抗議。從9月13日（星期五）起，該店已經開始試運營，接待了上萬名顧客。
　　
社區領袖在開幕儀式上發表了簡短的講話，並有傳統的舞獅表演。此外，沃爾瑪授予了華埠服務中心、華美博物館之友、洛杉磯消防局等機構1,000到15,000美元不等的獎勵金。◇
