墨西哥央行6日意外宣布降息一碼至歷史新低的3.75%，為今年第二度降息。墨西哥幣、股市與以墨西哥幣計價之公債聞訊大漲。

墨西哥央行上個月下修該國經濟成長率至2%，僅只有去年的一半，且為近4年來最差表現。墨西哥央行表示，由於經濟下行風險升高，明年經濟成長亦可能不如先前預期。

彭博社報導，渣打銀行經濟學家Italo Lombardi認為降息可能意味著寬鬆循環才剛在起步階段，墨西哥央行對通膨容忍度向來較為寬鬆，現在經濟情勢轉弱使其鴿派立場更為堅定。

墨西哥7月份通貨膨長率為3.47%。由於農糧產品價格滑落，物價已連續3個月呈現下滑走勢。

嘉實XQ全球贏家報價系統顯示，截至台北時間7日03時03分止，美元兌墨西哥幣貶值1.45%至13.1965。另外，墨西哥2015年到期公債殖利率盤中劇減22個基點至3.97%；墨西哥證券交易所(IPC)指數勁揚0.81%至40009.9。
