第二屆世界少棒錦標賽22日賽程，墨西哥發揮強大的長程火力，全場擊出3支全壘打，4棒Garcia包辦雙響，率隊10比0扣倒菲律賓，在預賽A組目前取得2勝2負的成績。
「目前的打擊狀況我很滿意，只要小朋友沒有受嚴重的傷，我相信我們的成績會很好。」墨西哥總教練Corzo相當有自信的說。
球員們的表現也沒有讓他失望，Garcia首局就打出個人第2轟，下個半局Medina也跟進開砲，Garcia則在3局下半錦上添花再補上2分全壘打，目前以3支的成績暫居全壘打王。
問到攻擊策略時，Garcia笑笑的說：「沒有什麼設定，我就是球來就打！」狀況火熱的他也讓Corzo讚譽有加。
「他是我們最強的打者，今天我讓許多主力休息，派他上場就是要讓他維持手感，能夠保持到後面的決賽。」
美國隊與香港隊之戰，美國全場擊出17支安打狂攻18分，加上投手群聯手讓香港無法擊出安打，18比0在4局提前結束比賽，目前戰績3勝1負與韓國並列B組第2。 (接下一頁)
