韓國韓亞航空公司一架編號OZ214的波音777-200型客機，舊金山當地時間7月6日11時30分在舊金山國際機場降落時墜毀，所幸機上空服人員疏散得宜，僅造成2名大陸女學生死亡。班機座艙長李允慧隔天召開記者會，敘述自己和其他空服員負傷疏散旅客經過，不過卻遭到美國政府正式發函，警告公司不要再開記者會。
美聯社引述「韓民族新聞」（Hankyoreh）報導，韓亞航發言人10日表示，美國國家運輸安全委員會（NTSB）發函，提及座艙長李允慧（Lee Yoon-hye，音譯）在記者會敘述的戲劇性撤離乘客經過。
由於美國政府正調查6日的墜機事件，公開對外發言可能影響調查期間的輿論，因此NTSB警告韓亞航不要再開記者會，並要求公司提供李允慧說法的英文翻譯版本。報導沒有引述消息來源，但也說韓亞航將照辦。
韓亞航空多次獲選全球最佳航空公司之一，墜機事件不只重創航空公司形像，更打擊南韓民眾對國家形象，讓他們感到羞愧而尷尬。
南韓釜山國立大學政治學教授凱利（Robert Kelly）表示，在西方世界中，政府、社會和企業的界線比較分明。但是對南韓人來說，民眾與大型企業並非個別存在，他們認為，民眾與企業團結合作，追求「大韓民國公司」的宏觀視野。
