高雄大寮監獄昨發生受刑人挾持典獄長等2名人質事件，震驚社會，陶晶瑩（陶子）卻在微博上傳翻拍新聞畫面，寫道：「台灣真的好high！」失言引起撻伐，她事後刪文，也在臉書解釋，但網友仍認為失言，凌晨她又在臉書貼文道歉。

陶子昨的「好high」論，引發網友議論，除立即刪文，也在臉書發文解釋：「我想說明的是，high這個詞，在我的定義裡是勁爆難以相信的意思。關注新聞中，希望平和落幕。」但仍止不住批評聲浪，直說：「還在硬凹，妳以為只有妳懂英文嗎？？」、「妳的定義不等同大家對這詞的定義」。

她凌晨又在臉書貼文：「謝謝各界的指正，辭不達意，我鄭重再次道歉。也希望事件和平落幕」。
