撲殺上萬隻肉鵝　防疫員拜地藏王茹素

禽流感肆虐，各地養禽場的家禽遭撲殺，防疫人員自覺「殺生」紛到地藏王廟求平安，也有的想茹素，為家禽祈福。

今日出版的《聯合報》報導，彰化縣每天動員50到130名動物防疫人員撲殺家禽，目前共計撲殺超過4萬多隻家禽。有防疫人員的家人擔心殺生過多「造業障」，到地藏王廟為他求平安，祈求超度往生動物，還問他「有沒有雞鴨啄皮膚的感覺？」

林姓防疫人員表示，撲殺期間吃齋茹素求心安，就讀獸醫系時，教授曾說，面對必須撲殺的動物，告訴自己「為了挽救更多健康動物、產業，動手就對了」。（即時新聞中心／綜合報導）
