蓋看得見的教室不難, 但是要實實在在把系所搬到這裡來才會有學生, 而不是用"推廣教育", "建教合作"這種part time的課程來虛應故事... 說實在的, 教授在台北住得好好的, 搬過來的意願有多少可想而知. 在沒有完整明確的規劃之下走一步算一步恐怕也無益於地方發展...對於台大和台科大來說也是個負擔.

國立臺灣科技大學表示，竹北校區採分期分區開發，規劃興建三棟教學大樓，分別是前瞻研發中心、創新育成中心、教育暨國際書院。其中前瞻研發中心工程案已通過竹縣府都市設計評議委員會，並經新竹縣府核定在案，將在10月23日舉辦動土儀式，預計年底動工。

國立臺灣大學也說明，位在竹北的進修推廣部竹北教學大樓興建案，預計民國104年完成計劃，105年興建，106年將落成啟用。
