受到過山沈降作用影響，新竹在12時59分出現38.0℃，寫下該測站今年最高溫紀錄，也是新竹站1991年遷站以來，9月最高溫紀錄。

氣象局表示，今天各地大多為多雲到晴，白天高溫可達36℃，午後北部及中南部地區有局部短暫雷陣雨，明天鋒面接近，北部及東半部地區有局部短暫陣雨，午後中南部地區有局部短暫雷陣雨。
 
後天鋒面通過及颱風外圍雲系影響，天氣轉涼，北部及東北部地區有陣雨，並有局部大雨發生的機率，東部及東南部也有短暫陣雨，中南部有局部短暫陣雨。21日受到颱風外圍雲系及東北季風影響，北部及東半部地區仍有短暫陣雨，中南部地區也有局部短暫陣雨。（許敏溶／台北報導）
