Mike Minor挑戰無安打比賽，第8局破功、被追平，勇士被紅人逼進延長賽，到了12局Justin Upton擊出2分全壘打，勇士才以3比1險勝。

勇士隊上一場無安打比賽，出現在1994年，締造者是Kent Mercker。20年來，縱使勇士號稱投手王國，卻沒有人再寫紀錄。

這一戰Minor投得相當精采，前7局沒被敲安，隊友則在第3局攻下1分。Minor投到第8局一出局後，保送Zack Cozart，代打Heisey滾地球出局，Cozart上二壘。

接下來是這場比賽最關鍵的一個打席。Minor投的第107球、也是最後一球，被Billy Hamilton擊出中外野安打，Cozart跑回紅人追平分。第9局兩隊都沒得分，1比1進入延長賽。

11局下紅人一出局後跑者上二壘，兩出局後勇士捕逸，紅人致勝分來到大門口，但Devin Mesoraco擊出滾地球被刺殺，無功而返。
