【更新】「要幫姑姑治病」　雄中生立志行醫

大學指考今放榜，高雄中學第三類組530分以上有8人，500分以上達37名，其中科學班蔡秉益，拿到542.6的高分，可望錄取第一志願台大醫學系。他之前學測雖拿到74級分的高分，但因未能順利率取國立大學醫學系，再次力拼指考終於拿到好成績。

蔡秉益受訪時說，會想念醫學系，是因小時候知道罹患紅斑性狼瘡的大姑姑為疾病所苦，差點病危，過程中也因龐大醫藥費被經濟困境壓得喘不過氣，所以立下唸醫的心願，今順利美夢成真，大姑得知直說，「一點都不意外，知道秉益的實力！」

難得的是秉益家住岡山，每天通車到校念書，家裡開牛排店，他說看到父母每天從早忙到晚，非常辛苦，為了就是能讓自己專心念書，還讓自己學鋼琴、小提琴，還拿過全市高胡比賽第一名、小提琴第二名成績，自己有空會到店裡幫忙洗碗，分攤爸媽辛勞。（周昭平／高雄報導）
