15日才打完美、加2站比賽返台的女單程琪雅，頂著睡意隔日出戰臺北公開賽首輪賽事，面對從未交手過的日本大堀彩，兩人激戰三局、55分鐘，程琪雅最終以21:19、14:21、21:18險勝。

順利挺進第二輪，程琪雅鬆了一口氣：「回去後要好好大睡一場，為之後比賽備戰。」

程琪雅強調，此役是近年來首次鏖戰三局奪勝，並且生涯首度打敗日本選手，先前遭遇今別府香里、伊籐加奈等人都吞敗，贏球增加許多信心，經驗也有所成長。

談到現場狀況，程琪雅認為球場風向實在掌控，和戴資穎出現同樣的情況，在第二局順風場地，讓自己發生太多失誤，不過決勝局調整之後表現回穩，才拿下勝利。

下役迎戰未曾交過手的中國香港葉姵延，程琪雅希望自己能夠保持下去。
