菲律賓警方表示，1名改信伊斯蘭教的澳洲人，因為利用網路呼籲民眾加入敘利亞和伊拉克的「聖戰」，今天(11日)在菲律賓遭到逮捕。

菲律賓警方表示，這名被捕的澳洲人是29歲的羅伯．愛德華．瑟蘭托尼歐(Robert Edward Cerantonio)，他也使用穆沙．瑟蘭托尼歐(Musa Cerantonio)的名字。他今天在菲律賓中部城市宿霧(Cebu)被捕，並且將被遣送回澳洲。由於澳洲政府已經撤銷他的護照，讓他在菲律賓變成非法居留的外國人。

警方指出，瑟蘭托尼歐從今年2月以來，就一直待在宿霧。
