基督教救助協會與空中英語教室將於8月2日清晨在台北美堤河濱公園舉辦英語特色的公益路跑，彭蒙惠老師將演唱打氣，為弱勢孩子籌募課輔。

中華基督教救助協會指出，從2004年推動「1919陪讀計畫」，為經濟弱勢家庭的孩子提供免費課輔、品格教育、才藝訓練，並延伸到對家庭的關懷。10年來累積資助2萬人次，今年9月起將再設立204班，資助3000名孩子免費上陪讀班。

為籌募陪讀經費，基督教救助協會與空中英語教室8月2日舉辦LET'S RUN公益路跑，所有報名費將在扣除成本後，全數捐給1919陪讀計畫。

路跑活動當天，來台63年、今年高齡88歲的彭蒙惠老師預計與天韻合唱團，將在現場為所有參加者演唱，空中英語教室的英文老師群也將一同陪跑，還安排精采英語節目。

LET'S RUN路跑報名6月30日截止，分為5公里與10公里路程兩組，報名費各為新台幣700與900元，報名可獲贈紀念T恤、後背束口袋、空中英語雜誌等贈品，各組有人數限制，有意者可至LET'S RUN活動官網（www.letsrun.tw）了解或報名。(中央社)
