車栽淺溪 駕駛求救離奇溺斃

設籍苗栗縣通霄鎮的62歲賴姓男子，25日開車到通霄馬家庄後方的楓樹窩一帶山坡地除草，傍晚開車返家途經1處彎道時，車子意外栽入農田，賴男還一度主動求救拖吊車，惟拖吊車業者抵達現場時，遍尋不著，後來竟在野溪下方，發現他趴在溪水裡溺斃。

騎機車路過的謝姓男子說，當時也是看到車子意外駛入農田，但也都沒看到人，等到救護車來，折回頭察看才知道駕駛竟會摔到車後方的溪底，實在很難想像「怎會這樣離奇！」

警方初步調查，這條小溪與堤岸道路落差約3公尺，賴姓男子的頭頂右側有明顯撞擊傷口，因溪水深僅10多公分，研判他可能是站在野溪堤岸道路，不慎失足摔落，由於頭部受創昏迷無力自救，才發生意外溺斃，確切死因仍待調查釐清。
