認真活每一天　抗癌兒偕母報考街頭藝人

台中市文化局今下午於台中公園舉辦街頭藝人徵選，身患腦瘤的台中特殊教育學校三年級葉家銘(19歲)，與媽媽林寶玲組成的烏克麗麗隊特別引人矚目！該隊由葉母唱歌，葉彈烏克麗麗演出，希望拿到證照後，透過表演增加收入。
 
去年獲頒總統教育獎的葉家銘，也是第七屆十大抗癌鬥士得主，先天弱視、斜視，小二時發現腦部有好多顆大小腫瘤，確診是惡性「星狀細胞瘤第二級」。國一時腫瘤因常常頭痛，記憶力變差、情緒低落，罹患憂鬱症，轉學到特教學校，原本自暴自棄，在志工與老師的鼓勵下重新開始。

高一時他參加學校「獨輪車隊」，為弱勢團體環島募款，還通過烘培麵包的丙級技術士，希望向吳寶春看齊。(鄭敏玲、張先華／台中報導)
