資深歌手游鴻明的私人住院單近來意外在網路曝光，不少歌迷看到後開始擔心他的健康狀況，友人透露他的聲帶時常不舒服，他本人則出面說明23日將進行鼻腔手術，坦言若不早日處理，擔心自己會在睡夢中窒息，然而開刀後可能因此無法再唱，進退兩難的處境令人擔心。

游鴻明歷年來膾炙人口歌曲眾多，累積大批歌迷，開刀消息傳開後震驚歌壇，根據《蘋果日報》報導，他為了根治詢問過專家，但3名醫師皆勸阻他進行手術，主因是沒任何歌手有過類似經驗，貿然開刀恐怕有過半機率無法唱歌，嚴重影響演藝事業。

他談起過往演出時，曾因老毛病唱得相當痛苦，如果再拖延恐怕會有生命危險，也認為歌手唱到45歲已經足夠，術後得休息1個月才有望復工，若因此「失聲」，依靠大陸、台灣兩邊加起來有7棟房產，經濟方面暫且寬鬆，藉此空檔陪伴家人，也算是額外收獲。
