他支援了目前市面上各種主流的下載協定包含 HTTP、HTTPS、FTP、MMS、RTSP 等通訊協定都可以透過這款軟體進行下載，然後檔案下載時會自動先將要下載的檔案切割成多個小的碎塊，然後啟動多線程來同時進行下載，在下載完成之後再合併為原本的檔案，因此也可以把EagleGet當作是檔案下載加速器使用。
