巴拉圭民眾今天發動全國大罷工，華人聚居的東方市學校停課，大多數商店休市。

當地媒體報導，今天上午至少兩批民眾在連接東方市（Ciudad del Este）與巴西邊界城市伊瓜蘇（Fozdo Iguacu）的國際友誼橋關口及國際公路交流道設路障，陸軍與國家警察隊在一旁監視。

東方市是巴拉圭第2大城，以計程車司機為首發動的示威活動，要求當地政府將7月到期、暫時取消強制性車檢的判決令順延，重審計程車司機的退休福利計畫；教師、大眾運輸、醫療、電力與電信公司員工也加入罷工行列。

巴拉圭首都亞松森與其他地區罷工人士也抗議總統卡提斯（Horacio Cartes）的施政，訴求內容包括加快進行土地改革、擴大公路網、廢除公民營合作法等。

巴拉圭人口約700萬，是世界第7大肉類與第4大黃豆出口國，2013年經濟成長14.1%，為全球表現第3佳國家。(中央社)
