中信銀行最高顧問馮寄台5日在開訓開禮正式宣布，過去的兄弟象將正式成為中信兄弟隊，同時仍以象為吉祥物，馮寄台說「為尊重傳統，仍以大象為吉祥物，大象是以家庭為中心的動物，正符合我們WE ARE FAMILY的精神，球衣會盡量維持黃色的傳統」。

中信兄弟隊的開訓典禮5日在龍潭球場進行，包括中信銀行最高顧問馮寄台、華翼育樂公司董事長林逢春都親自出席，宣布行使自由球員資格的周思齊已與球團達成共識，會繼續留在中信兄弟隊。

中信兄弟隊表示目前球團將暫時保留現行球隊的黃色球衣，至於主戰是否重新設計，將由經營團隊進一步研評估研究，未來若有有任何改變，將會尊重並符合大多數球迷的期待。
