【胡治言／綜合報導】中央研究院和台大醫院領先全球發現，人體內一種和抗氧化有關的基因與人體肥胖有關。

今日出刊的《蘋果》報導，中研院和台大醫院研究團隊發現，NPGPx基因與人體肥胖有關。團隊成員張以承昨表示，與人體抗氧化有關的基因NPGPx不夠活化時，氧化壓力會提高，脂肪細胞的分化速度也會加快，但若加入一種具抗氧化功能的化痰藥，即可壓制脂肪細胞持續分化。

醫師指，該發現對開發減重藥提供新方向，一般人多攝取天然抗氧化劑如番茄、胡蘿蔔、菠菜、空心菜等，也可使氧化壓力下降，有機會讓體重不再「一路發」。
