儘管建中棒球隊已經被淘汰，無法再參與這一屆的黑豹旗，不過4日16強之戰他們還是到場為「對手」屏東高中吶喊助威！

建中棒球隊歷史首戰扣倒中大壢中的夜晚似乎都還在眼前，但是這次再來到天母球場，建中全隊是抱著感恩的心在觀摩比賽。

隊上主砲林大鈞因為要期末考還是抱著參考書來場為屏中加油，他說：「因為他擊敗了我們，所以我們要為他們加油。」

這樣的精神在現在只有「加倍奉還」的社會中更是難得。

沈新念說：「他們對我們的陣容跟這場一樣，可以知道，他們是認真在跟我們比賽。」
