沃達豐擴大對印度投資，預計2年砸30億美元

沃達豐集團(Vodafone Group Plc)4日宣布未來兩年將大規模投資印度30億美元，計畫藉以建構網路與擴展零售通路。該公司執行長Vittorio Colao表示，這是繼進軍德國之後，沃達豐歷年來最大宗投資案。

華爾街日報報導指出，沃達豐印度營運單位目前已是當地第二大通訊業者，不過該公司三大服務領域有兩個明年1月都將面臨換照。Colao指出，計畫中的30億美元投資案並不包含競購頻寬的標金。

沃達豐是在2007年從香港和記黃埔(Hutchison Whampoa)手中收購了沃達豐印度部門67%的股權。印度監管當局日前裁定沃達豐必須為當時的交易繳交資本利得稅，截至目前為止，案子尚在協商中。沃達豐表示，待全案落幕，將計畫買斷印部門所有股權。
