颱風海燕給菲律賓造成可怕的破壞和損失

菲律賓官員星期五（11月22日）透露，颱風海燕在該國造成的死亡人數已經超過5000人。

菲律賓救災官員發佈的最新統計數據顯示，海燕已經造成至少5209人死亡，其中4919人是在禮智島上遇難的。

另外目前菲律賓各地仍有1611人因海燕引發的洪水等災害而下落不明。

菲律賓的統計意味著颱風海燕成為該國歷史上造成死亡人數最多的自然災害。

此前造成最多死亡的災難同樣發生在中部的禮智省，該省奧爾莫克地區1991年發生的洪水造成5101人死亡。

颱風海燕是至今人類有記錄以來最強烈的颱風之一，颱風11月8日在菲律賓登陸時中心風力高達每小時270公里。

海燕不僅給菲律賓造成嚴重破壞，這一強烈颱風在離開菲律賓後雖然顯著減弱，但仍在越南造成至少12人死亡，在中國導致至少11人喪生。
