菲律賓斥鉅資 購8架攻擊直升機

　　裝備欠缺的菲律賓軍方7日表示，將斥資34億披索(7,870萬美元)，向英國、義大利合資的阿古斯特維斯特蘭公司(Agusta Westland)購買8架直升機，以提升對抗游擊隊的火力。

　　菲國空軍發言人歐科爾(Miguel Okol)上校說，8架AW 109威力(Power)直升機主要將用來支援軍方打擊叛亂分子，但也可用於海事巡邏及「領土防禦」。

　　他指出：「整體而言，未來將有武裝直升機進行近距離的空中支援，這項行動是為了國內安全。」

　　菲國國防部表示，此項軍購耗資34億披索，但未提供更多細節。

　　空軍副司令迪馬塔達克(Raul Dimatatac)少將說，菲律賓急切需要這批直升機，因為軍方目前僅剩約7架MG-520型攻擊直升機繼續執勤。

　　阿古斯特維斯特蘭公司在官網上表示，將自明年開始交機。
