Google宣布，Google Apps在未來幾周內將放棄對微軟IE9的支援。正在使用Gmail、日歷、Docs或其他Google Apps的IE9用戶會陸續收到提示消息，建議大家升級至IE10或IE11。

根據驅動之家報導，這是Google一貫執行的產品支援政策：Google Apps支援最新版本的Chrome，對於IE、Firefox、Safari等瀏覽器，Google Apps僅支援當前版本和上一個重大版本。

10月17日，隨著Windows 8.1的發布，IE11也正式發布，因此Google Apps支援的IE版本為IE10、IE11，IE9則即將被放棄。
